Windows 7 automatically logs-on to a particular User Account on Startup

This is not a very Common Windows 7 issue, however, its an annoying issue if the system gets affected by it.
This is an User-Account Control Settings issue; on Windows Start-up, it would only log-in automatically to a particular User Account however, when u log-out from the User Profile, it should take to the log in page, where you will get the option of selecting User Profile to which you want to log in, if you have created multiple Accounts.

If you want to disable this, follow these steps :

  1. Open the Start Menu.
  2. In the search line, type netplwiz and press Enter.
  3. Check the Users must enter a user name and password to use this omputer box.
  4. Select Apply and then, OK, your done.

If you want to turn on this feature again, then:

  1. Check the Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer box.
  2. Click on the user account name, that you want to have automatically log on at startup, to highlight it.
  3. Uncheck the Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer box.
  1. Select Apply and then, OK, your done.
